The Family

SCROLL DOWN

The Family

Holly Tarasoff (Tetachuk) inherited the business after Alec, Joyce, and Carl passed away. She continues to run the company herself and handle all the book keeping responsibilities. Husband Eugene has drove for the company for over 25 years, originaly learning how to haul cattle from Alec.

Son Sheldon owns S&S Heavy Duty Mechanic shop in High River. Son Brandon owns Bar T Contracting. Daughter Taralee is working in the insurance industry and daughter Chanice is working in the mental health field.

Holly and Eugene live in the original home, built by Alec and Joyce upon moving to Cayley. Eugene and the drivers still work out of the original service station that Alec built in the forties, although the equipment has all been updated, Holly still has many of the old trucks and supplies that Alec and Carl used themselves.  We work to maintain the nostalgia of the history through many markers of the company.

We currently have two trucks on the road, Eugene's mack and our son Brandon's truck as a lease operator. Aside from our daily Harmony Beef and Cargill loads, we focus on pasture hauls in our local area. Some trips exceed that and travel as far as central Saskatchewan. Eugene also has experience in hauling sheep, chickens and boars in the local area. It is very important to us to maintain some of the same client base that Alec had, as we get the opportunity to truck for continuing generations of farmers and ranchers. We are always open to new clients and traveling outside of our local area to meet new people.

The reality is…sometimes we get stuck! But patience is key, and we are always thankful that our customers are willing to problem solve with us to get the tractor out and give us a little tug!
